Isang masarap na panghimagas ang Caramel Tarts. Para sa mga ginang na nais ng isang kakaibang dessert. Heto ang recipe tips sa pagluto nito:
Mga Sangkap:
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup ice water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
Para Sa Palaman:
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsps. cocoa
1/4 cup butter
4 egg yolks
2 tbsps. flour
Para Sa Meringue Toppings:
4 egg whites
2/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Paraan ng Pagluto:
Cut the shortening into the flour until cornmeal in shape. Mix the ice water, salt, and sugar in a bowl and pour this liquid to the flour mixture. Form into a ball and set aside for five minutes. Prepare 30 pieces boat tart molds and grease with shortening. Roll dough thinly about 1/8" thick. Place on mold and prick. Pre-bake crust at 400 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cook the filling ingredients until thick. Place on prepared crust and set aside. Beat meringue mixture until thin. Place inside a pastry bag and squeeze on top of the filling. Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Cool and wrap in cellophane.
